This afternoon the children of the primary and infant schools in the area all had a big Easter egg hunt. The weather was hot and sticky, so most of the little eggs - hidden around the lake and in the playground - were slightly soft and melted ..this didn't seem to bother the children as they emerged from bushes smeared with chocolate and covered in leaves and twigs. It looked like an army training bootcamp for kids. Afterwards a general 'gouter' was had by parents and children alike (coffee and cake and more chocolate) then les enfants played and played until it was time to sweep up and return home. An extended Easter. What a good idea.
