Take it Easy..Hotel California..

Tis official.
Papillon closes its doors for the last time on Sunday 29th March. Gregoire has been offered a pretty fab super duper job as Executive Chef Manager in an amazing restaurant with good hours and good money and a brigade of people and all that jazz....the even better news (sort of) is that it is just north of Grasse. In a tiny village called Gourdon perched high up above the sea..the restaurant is called the Nid d'Aigle. And because we don't do things in halves, he starts April 4th. Yikes. So all we have to do is find somewhere to live, find a school for Scarlet, close the business, pack the flat up, I have to resign from the council and various associations, we have to negotiate a deal with the bank and accountant....oh and sell the business (it is already up for sale but we are now pushing for a quick one) asap. I plan to join Gregoire end of April so it gives him some time to find a home for us. We are dead excited , Papillon has reached the end of its line for us - we have done loads with it and feel very proud of what we have achieved - now it is time to move on and start afresh...

So the Papillons will become The Eagles....

lazy blogger

I have been terribly lazy recently about blogging. I lay the blame squarely with Facebook which is totally invasive and despite appearing to be snippet-based takes up endless hours...I mean just how many scrabble, wordchallenge, geocities, and "what type of shoe are you" games can one girl play in a day? St Fraimbault is a very quiet little village right now .....spring has just started to peep through, with baby daffs and crocii (I never know - is it crocusses, crocuses or crocii?) pushing their heads up and the cherry trees budding up in an expectant blossomishousness kinda way. I love this time of year - the rejuvenation of spring - only 10 more days and winter is officially over. Blisssssss.
