let it snow, let it snow

Glorious gorgeousness here - snow all aorund, the Alps behind us, the sea in front....blue skies, winter sun and seriously minus temperatures. We had a proper snowstorm yesterday which sent everything into negative colours. Just lovely. Today snow is slowly turning to slush, but it was so good to see the cote d'azur like this. A rarity apparently. And this was obvious from the way people drove - took me 3 hours to drive a normally 15 minute journey...this morning my drive to work was like driving through a post-apocalyptic winter ...cars abandoned on every roadside, central reservation and dual carriageway and lots of poor lost wandering souls searching for their cars beneath the deep layer of snow covering everything. The only sound was the beep-beep of keys unlocking cars remotely :)
